Pirate, Arr!

". . ."

I went to the dentist today.

It wasn't really insufferable... decay this, floss that... it's always the same with these dentists.

I apparently need a crown on that tooth that is evil, and has been for several years... Also my wisdom teeth need to be taken out. All four of them. Evil teeth.

Other than that, it was pretty normal... Genevieve picked me up around 7 or so and we went to Coconuts to scope out cheap, used CDs. She was able to pick up a bounty of Melissa Etheridge and Deana Carter, and I got the Four Rooms soundtrack for just over $2.

I don't think I would've paid very much more for it... It's funky, sometimes saucy and psychedelic music - but I don't know how often I'd listen to it... I really like what I've heard so far... It's all by this instrumental/scat group Combustible Edison, with some additional music as well. No Madonna, and that's a shame, 'cause a song from the perspective of Elspeth could've rocked. Mmm... 1994-era Madonna; that's when she was all funky -- definitely would've rocked. Damn, missed chances.

After that, we met up with Michael and we went to Piscataway to drop of Genevieve's stuff, including her mattress and various assortments. It smelled of smoke, but it was an okay environment, I guess. Her father wasn't home. I admit, I was kind of relieved.

Then Target, WallMart, and foodward. We were supposed to go to Montclair, but that didn't actually happen.

We went to Scotchwood and got the Crazy Waitress, Karen. Karen is really sweet, but she's endearingly daffy... I sometimes feel bad about her because of her daffiness is not often taken sweetly by customers. Some customers are bitches. But I had never been waited on her before... I watch her when I'm there, usually. She's tall, somewhat older but it's hard to tell if she's forty or just looks like it due to weariness. She wears this strange clip in her hair. And she seemed to really like us. She fucked up our orders slightly, came back rather fast, and gave us free refills because of it... I like Karen. But then, I always did.

I could so write a Jill Sobule-ish song for her.

Maybe I will.
