Bored

"Will the ghosts go away?"

It's not that dislike Livejournal memes; I just rarely see the point of them. However, I have seen this on LJ and was curious of the results. So, here's a time capsule...

This WinAmp thing isn't helpful; I keep a lot of my music in neat, organized folders. But there's a main folder where I keep the unfiled ones. I currently have 1,331 unfiled mp3s. So, this isn't entirely an accurate tally. I am not going to get any of the songs that I keep in my folders, 'cause I can't open folders in WinAmp. Also many folders has sub-folders, too. And some of those sub-folders have sub-folders. I'm somewhere between a slacker and anal-retentive.

But, here's the situation: one copies their mp3s into WinAmp, selects random, and records the first fifteen tracks that it plays. I don't know what this is meant to prove, but here goes:

01- "Rhiannon," by Fleetwood Mac
02- "Erotica (Idaho's Hypnodelic Mix)," by Madonna
03- "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" by Jane Krakowski
04- "Lament (London Cast)" from Into the Woods
05- "Easy Ride (Edit)," by Madonna
06- "October," by Evanescence
07- "Sister Janet," by Luke Myers
08- "The Exposition Song," from Buffy the Vampire Slayer: "Restless"
09- "Walk Through the Fire," from Buffy the Vampire Slayer: "Once More, With Feeling"
10- "Two Ladies (Broadway Revival)" from Cabaret
11- "The Chain," by Fleetwood Mac
12- "Eternal," by Evanescence
13- "Candle in the Wind," by Elton John
14- "Sand in My Shoes," by Dido
15- "Dangerous Game (Broadway)" from Jekyll and Hyde

Yeah; entirely random -- not at all a very good indication of the music I listen to. Oh well. It was worth a shot. I do like all of those songs, except for the London Into the Woods almost-anything.

"You're only dreaming -- I think I can hear you talk."

My father, my father, my father...

Amy sent my mind into a spin again. Which I like, but it always just makes my brain do things, and that's always something kind of frustrating after 3 AM. She was writing about our father. (our father, our father, our father...)

I haven't spoken to my father in a number of weeks. The phone is distant on both of our parts, so I am not throwing blame at all. I just haven't had very much to say! It's been over a month... and I don't know what to talk about!

When we're on the phone, we're waiting to talk. We're better in person. It's true; phones suck for me and Dad 'cause when we're in person, we don't interrupt -- we know from the facial expression they're about to say something. On the phone, we wander over each others' sentences. I think we care; we just... don't hear a lot.

Also, I've never been particularly friendly with talking to Dad about my relationships. I'm sure that because he loves me, he cares what's going on. He once found my Livejournal and the entry that was current was that Jay had given up on me, and he sent regards. Besides the fact that him reading my LJ bugged the hell out of me, it was a rare extending of interest in my love life.

Definitely some weird barriers though since Daniel; I know that. I suddenly became Amy, Sharon, Michelle, and Bart. I wasn't the obvious call anymore. I was suddenly one of the others. Being one of the others sucks, as any of the others can attest.

But, well, new father -- busy. Me, all workin' and boyfriendin' and general being 20 -- busy.

Very... distant, though.

Yeah; more -- not thinking... Stopping now.

"I realize, there's just no getting over you."

Who you are, if you call me --

George -- you are almost anyone.
Four -- you're my parents, Andrea, Amy(2), or Amy(2)'s Chris.
Beau -- you're Matthew. and only allowed to be Matthew.
Liquid Datura -- you know me only online; or the Forumz, when I went.
Georgie -- you're maybe my grandmother. and only allowed to be my grandmother.
Georgey -- you're probably Ralph or Matt, and I allow you for some reason...
Ciccone4 -- you really haven't spoken to me in person ever, or online since 2000.
My Empowered Lemon Bundt -- you are Shamanin, my Brandied Kumquat.
Brad or Frank -- you've only seen me at the show and know not my real name.
honey -- you're likely Tara, or someone I'm not thinking of.
sweetie -- you're maybe Willow, Little 1, Michelle(2), or someone I'm not thinking of.
Geroge -- you need Spellcheck, and might be Sarah or Spark.
G. -- you are Linz.
::squeal:: -- you are Janice.

Of course, inflections of "George" should qualify, but for text-purposes, that's probably all of them.
