"Will the ghosts go away?"
It's not that dislike Livejournal memes; I just rarely see the point of them. However, I have seen this on LJ and was curious of the results. So, here's a time capsule...
This WinAmp thing isn't helpful; I keep a lot of my music in neat, organized folders. But there's a main folder where I keep the unfiled ones. I currently have 1,331 unfiled mp3s. So, this isn't entirely an accurate tally. I am not going to get any of the songs that I keep in my folders, 'cause I can't open folders in WinAmp. Also many folders has sub-folders, too. And some of those sub-folders have sub-folders. I'm somewhere between a slacker and anal-retentive.
But, here's the situation: one copies their mp3s into WinAmp, selects random, and records the first fifteen tracks that it plays. I don't know what this is meant to prove, but here goes:
01- "Rhiannon," by Fleetwood Mac
02- "Erotica (Idaho's Hypnodelic Mix)," by Madonna
03- "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" by Jane Krakowski
04- "Lament (London Cast)" from Into the Woods
05- "Easy Ride (Edit)," by Madonna
06- "October," by Evanescence
07- "Sister Janet," by Luke Myers
08- "The Exposition Song," from Buffy the Vampire Slayer: "Restless"
09- "Walk Through the Fire," from Buffy the Vampire Slayer: "Once More, With Feeling"
10- "Two Ladies (Broadway Revival)" from Cabaret
11- "The Chain," by Fleetwood Mac
12- "Eternal," by Evanescence
13- "Candle in the Wind," by Elton John
14- "Sand in My Shoes," by Dido
15- "Dangerous Game (Broadway)" from Jekyll and Hyde

Yeah; entirely random -- not at all a very good indication of the music I listen to. Oh well. It was worth a shot. I do like all of those songs, except for the London Into the Woods almost-anything.
