Drone, Work

"I must be fine, 'cause my heart's still beating."

I was really stupid and left an entry just in the Livejournal field from last night, or rather 5 AM this morning. It was me rambling about potentially sleeping, but wanting to do RP stuff with Genevieve. Still so, but a lot of ideas I have, I have to go through with her. I'll write some of that up later, after much is considered between the two of us.

For today, I was at Millburn's education center with Matt. There are apparently four steps to this. We've barely covered the first part, apparently. Yay... Lots of wires running, lots of drop-ceilings, lots of dust. And today, there were termites! Thousands upon thousands of termites!

Okay, closer to about twelve. But come on! Termites! Infesting the metal! Metal! They were sprayed that day. Apparently, a few were clinging on for dear life and running along the inside of the fluorescent lights, and falling onto the radiator.

More work next week; meeting tomorrow about IJO stuff...

Random Songs of the Workday: "I'm a Lesbian," appropriated to Melissa Ferrick [but not]; "I'm the Only One," by Melissa Etheridge; "Halloween," by Aqua; "Special," by the Greylocks; "Hosanna," from Jesus Christ Superstar; "5 1/2 Minute Hallway," by Poe; "Underground," by David Bowie; "Waterfalls," by TLC; "Secret Agent," by Melissa Etheridge; "Fell in Love With a Boy," by Joss Stone; "The Lady is a Vamp," by the Spice Girls.

"Something's gotta give somewhere, forcing circles into squares."

Meeting today. It last for five an a half hours. Despite the fact that in that five and a half, there was probably an hour total of completely unrelated info that was us just keeping sanity by relating past stories or just nothing of subject at hand... it was something of a draining and daunting meeting.

Two projects ahead of me immediately; one of them is due by tomorrow.

I also should make dinner for Matt, now.

So much time, so little of it encouraging me to be productive!
Bored

"He's taken just all that I had."

I saw this on Larry's journal, and figured I'd give this a shot.

Apparently, I complete these sentences with five answers that are true.

15 years ago, I was living in Durham, Connecticut; I followed my older siblings around being irritating and wondering why they didn't like me; I adored Thundercats; I went to Brewster Elem for kindergarten; I didn't know who Madonna was.

10 years ago, I was living in Plainfield, New Jersey; I tried bonding with my last college-bound sister, who rebelled against my parents and collected Absolut magazine ads; I hated Evergreen School and sucked at math; I went to New York a lot with Joyce; I did community theatre.

5 years ago, I was leaving freshman year and entering my sophomore year high school; I came to conclusions over my sexuality; I was failing English for absolutely no reason other than I refused to hand in assignments; I was emotionally distant to... almost everyone; I started talking to Amy again, through e-mail.

1 year ago, I was gearing up for my second Hat Pick Night for the Home of Happiness cast in Genevieve's apartment; I watched Kissing Jessica Stein on my first date with Matt at his house (and not going to the cleaning party at the Screening Zone); I was bailing on the college experience by blissfully ignoring classes and hanging with Danielle in the cafeteria; I was [early] still on speaking terms with Jay; I performed as Frank at my first Cult Movie Overnight.

Yesterday, I was working at the Millburn Education Center with Matt, running wires; I ate two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches; I stayed up til 5 this morning talking to Genevieve on AIM; I met a former Nyack cast member who was waitressing at the Huck Finn diner [Cathy]; I spent most the day wondering about my RP name.

Today, I was at Maria's, at an office meeting; I did some office work for Matt for IJO; I ate macaroni and cheese; I downloaded music illegally; I kissed my boyfriend.

Tomorrow, I will hopefully sleep a lot; I will be adequately panicking for this year's Hat Pick Night and my unpreparedness; I will eat something, although I'm uncertain as to what; I will change the server back-up tapes; I will do something zany and unpredictably wild.

I was really reaching for some of those earlier memories. And the later ones, too. The years between were better.
