"Keep it movin' 'til you just can't take anymore."
My Shock Treatment DVD is defective. I've watched it all the way through only once (and then again when I was making the mood set without a home), but I was trying to watch it with Jamie tonight, and while he fell asleep, I noticed some severe problems.
There were minimal glitches a few seconds before the major one. The first was the DVD skipping over Nation's "Mr. Sun" line. And then the DVD's audio stopped during "Lullaby." The video kept playing but the sound was gone from Nurse Ansalong's verse until Janet talks to Cosmo before "Little Black Dress." And then it died again; Janet and Cosmo froze and the audio kept going. It stayed like this until Janet threw her hat during "Me of Me." It didn't glitch again until the song "Shock Treatment" but it kept going despite small pauses here and there. When Janet was talking about "Sanity for Today," it died again, freezing the audio and the video. Suddenly, the second verse of "Looking for Trade" came on when it was supposed to (the DVD kept playing; it just wasn't changing with the time). Suddenly at the end of Janet's second verse, it paused for a split second and went into the beginning of "Denton, USA." It was bizarre. The DVD timer on the player still said it was going past 60 minutes and counting up, but the actual footage was what we saw an hour before. It was very strange.
Finally, Matt called and woke Jamie and a starting-to-doze me up, and we turned it off. It looked like it was starting to glitch sooner than it had before, too, during Bert's intro.
What bugs me is that this is not something that I can simply go to a store and replace. I wish Fox would just release a cheap version of it (like Clue) and get it over with.
