Perpetual, Nostalgic

"I thought I'd see you again."

Livejournal was down for some time, and I didn't know what to do with myself. While I was fairly busy wandering New York, seeing Elektra and several episodes of Alias with Matt, when I'm online, I absent-mindedly go to LJ. But there was nothing there! Weird.

In any case. First thing's first, and I'll write about other things when it's not so close to Rocky. Five more songs from Tori's The Beekeeper leaked, making the full list to 7, although "Hoochie Woman" shouldn't even count. A bunch of people already have the album, which isn't surprising because I had the Liz Phair self-titled a good three months before it was released.

"Parasol" is pretty; "Toast" is the best of the leaked so far -- really very nice; it ends too soon. "Barons of Suburbia" is a little overblown, but it's not bad. "Witness" drove me crazy; I had to turn it off only mid-way through it. Later, then. "The Power of Orange Knickers" didn't really grab me. I found Damien Rice's vocals distracting, and I couldn't plainly tell was she was saying, literally or through metaphor.

And that's about all I've got time for -- Matt's calling.
