"Another one bites the dust."
Good, solid show this past evening. I used a blue glitter that I have decided to never use again, but other than that, it was an incident-free event.
After the show, there were auditions for a girl named Randi/Randy and eLiz. They auditioned as Magenta and Columbia, respectively. Official word on their vote will probably go out sometime tomorrow. Their audition was supposed to be held (we had learned) just by Larry, Liz, Matt, and a Riff (who turned out to be Gamsby). But apparently it wasn't as closed-off an audition as expected. I'm disappointed that auditions are now on a smaller scale. I loved auditions. Some may look back at the 3-hour discussion after Mannix's semi-audition and groan, but I loved auditions. I like cast interaction and stupid stuff during meetings. We've lost a lot of that. And not in exchange for a more mature outlook either, which would be the assumed trade-off.
But, whatever. I wasn't invited to auditions, so I went to the diner instead and hung out with a random assortment of Sarah, her new boyfriend, Nicole (the renn chick with the eyebrows), Christian, and two of his friends Becky and Jamie. It was a small but contented gathering.
Also, for much of the evening I had Liz Phair's version of the Banana Splits theme song stuck in my head.
