Rage

"Don't forget I that meant to win."

...And in the darkness, bind them...

So, Matt and I got rings in Austin. Well, more accurately, we picked them out from a tungsten supplier. They were to be shipped about a week after we ordered them. About a month goes by, and we received them today.

Matt's ring was supposed to be a 9 1/2, but it's so loose that if he shakes his hand, it slips right off. In fact, if he holds his hand upside down, it falls off. He compared to his other rings... It's a couple of millimeters larger. I got a 10 1/2 (necessary because I have large knuckles, but relatively thin fingers), and it's a little looser around the base of my finger than I'd like, but I'd deal. Except the finish on my ring is AWFUL. We order silver-colored titanium tungsten rings with a tempered edge and a strip of funky design in the center. Matt's came out gorgeously. Mine has finishing scratches, like actual lines in the design from what looks like a needle (which, obviously it isn't because it's, uh, titanium tungsten). It looks messy. I'm pretty upset about that.

So, Matt can't wear his because he's afraid of losing a several hundred dollar ring, and I don't want to wear mine because the gorgeous design is marred by manufacturer error. I think we're sending them back. Even if they accept the complaints and (if) they exchange them for a correct sizing, we're probably still going to be fucked with shipping back and forth. It was $12 for 2-day mail... a month after it was due.
