Jamie and I went to see BloodRayne... Blood gushes everywhere. You get your throat slit? Gush. Jabbed in the stomach? Gush. Papercut on a toe? I swear, we as humans in the middle ages, had arteries everywhere.

Of course I'm putting too much into it; it's a movie based on a videogame and is strung together by familiar B and C list stars (plus an Oscar winner to even it out). Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat didn't really fill me with hope, but the list of films formerly videogames is actually pretty short, once you get past the Lara Crofts and Resident Evils.
