"Dance-- don't ever stop."
The holiday show went over without much incident. It just took forever to happen (which wasn't surprising, and involved less tension than it could've), but once it got started, everything was fine.
Fun with a purpose:
- Liz's "Sweet Transvestite" was the White Witch meets Christina Ricci in a wampa cave. Hott.
- Loved the Joseph/Mary action-- and the audience was responsive to it, which was relieving.
- Floorshow had potential to suck, due to the fact that the snow machine wasn't going to be used. However, it was probably better than the years previous; Larry and Paul simply threw clumps of fake snow during the styrofoam snowball fight. It was tremendous fun that ended too soon.
- Chas was a funnier Kaptain Kwanzaa than Nate. And Nate was pretty funny as Kaptain Kwanzaa.
The night was not without the rolly-eyed, "Grr, what the hell" moments, but they were soon forgotten because something was always going on. It was a nice, seat-flying theme show that we are gratefully acknowledged for.
I have a bit of a cold. I blame Jamie. Blame, blame, blame. I feel better now.
I am taking a Pilates class with Matt and Jamie. I am apparently on a road of getting fit within an inch of my life. I hate working out. But it's free. Well, free in that I-pay-monthly-to-a-gym kinda way. That kind of free.
Tomorrow I am having lunch with Genevieve, Danielle, and Gail. We are going into the City afterward to see Rent. This also means a chopped-off work day, which is beautiful.
