Libertine Ball has come and gone. It was a frustrating excursion, admittedly. We had no problems with the stage or the performances, and our stage manager was very helpful, but I felt very lost in the club.
I'm hoping that if we attend (officially or unofficially; I actually would like to attend the event as a layman sometime) again, it will not be at club Shampoo, because while I'm sure it was awesome for the guests, as a performer, I had no idea how to find the people in charge. Last year's (at Twist, also in Philadelphia) was more a more focused set-up (some may say cramped) and I didn't have a moment where I felt completely disconnected from the organizers like I did this time around.
Matt and I saw Hancock when I returned home. Maybe I'm just PMS'ing but it hit me very hard; the scenes ( Read more... ) mainly. Charlize Theron (Mary) was very good, I did not spend the whole film thinking that Will Smith was Hancock, and I generally enjoyed the storytelling, even if a few things felt left out, such as ( Read more... ) and the ending seemed a little tied-up (or sequel-friendly).
I'm still a little bi-polar today (today?) but I'm working on it.
