They did Mein Herr live when I went to go see Onion Cellar. I was terribly unimpressed. Amanda always sounds slightly off-key to me--which works for their own discordant songs, but made me cringe during her rendition of one of my favorite Broadway Songs.

Alas. I like the mp3s I've got of it (I understand your criticism), but my main issue was how stretched out she made each line break--however, I've also heard that done live by other people so perhaps she was imitating. Minnelli didn't do that, but I don't know the OBC; I've downloaded it (legally) but not listened to any of it yet.

Totally off topic... I was scrolling down through the comments and your icon caught my eye. It took me a minute to realize that it was you Jordana, and not Gwen Stefani. I mean, you're not long-lost twins looking... but the way this picture is shot and manipulated, there's a fairly decent resemblance going.

I'm quite fond of it, personally. And not in an Amanda-can-do-wrong way (cause she can... she's just often gorgeous while doing it) but in a "Cabaret"-isn't-a-shiny-polished-musical way. It seems like it's supposed to be sorta gritty, so I really liked hearing her version. But that's just me. I'm a recent addition to the "Cabaret" bandwagon and you've been on it far longer. And, of course, yu're entitled to your opinion as I am mine. :)

On a related note, have you heard her do "I Don't Care Much?" I thought it was quite lovely. Here's a link:

But why aren't they part of the set?

I would rather they be with the actual setlist, and not billed as "extras." That seems bizarre.

I wish the DVD came with the Sing video(es) and the 2 Backstabber ones, too. Maybe they're waiting til Shores is done for something like that.

I think possibly because they feature extra peoples? "Missed Me" is with someone named Edward and "Delilah" is with Miss Lovich. Off the top of my head, I don't know who they are, but mayhaps that's why they're "bonus" and not regular tracks.

I'm hoping that with the continued making of the music videos, they'll release a music video DVD. They'll have 3 Sing ones, Backstabber, Shores..., and maybe one or both of the Kareoke Verite videos, they could have a respectable music video DVD. However, she/they may (have to) wait until a) they have more videos and b) they get rights from people like Avril, Panic! and the people whom I can't remember now who did the "God Is Gonna Get Sick of Me" song.

"Mad World" is gonna have Trash, so I don't think that's the only reason.

Well, fine, blow my theory right outta the water. ;) Now I got nothing. But I'm still happy "Delilah" made the cut, regardless of how.
