After 6 days in Colorado where we got only a light dusting and it was freezing as hell, I return to New Jersey and we have a 4-inch blanket outside overnight. Now to go from exhausted salesman to Mr. Plow.
I doesn't help that I passed out at 10 o'clock last night in my clothes on top of my bed while trying to unpack. I woke up shivering with the lights still on and not feeling remotely rested.
Here we go!

The sleet is relentless. Genevieve had off, but even if she didn't, she probably wouldn't have gotten here. Jamie's here, but marooned. Maria and newgirlErin are stuck in their respective places and probably not coming in at all today.
The phones have rung maybe twice today (quickie tech support, not business).
We have shoveled but it doesn't seem to last very long. I feel pain in my back, my neck, and my head, and I've got the Mr. Sniffles. Whine, whine, whine.

I hate snow. I used to love it. It's a very 'childhood innocence' concept to leave behind. But when your responsibilities do not stop for Snow Days, it is hard to appreciate the white mess.
It is Valentine's Day which means the phones should remain pretty quiet (one would hope our customers are too busy selling their stuff). I just want to go upstairs and sleep all day.

It's snowing.
Larry called me; I got switched from Rocky to Brad because Sean called out a few hours ago.
Danielle called me a few minutes ago. She, Michael, and Genevieve will not be showing up at the show, either. They have angry, snow-covered roads in Flemington and have (understandably) opted out.
This puts the show in interesting jeopardy. One, Danielle was Magenta, and Michael was Lights, which could be filled (if someone who has a Magenta costume left home yet), but it also makes me wonder if anyone else might be calling out, or if we'll have much of an audience.

It's snowing. A lot. It's annoying, powdery, white, cocaine (or heroine?)-esque snow. It can go away any time now.
I used to love snow, back when I would appreciate snow meaning I didn't have to do anything. This is less the case. Now it's just an inconvenience. And cold.
